Bio

Brandon Baghaee (b.2002) is a visual artist living and working in Toronto.

Brandon Baghaee currently attends OCAD University, studying Drawing and Painting. In his work, he paints illustrative figures, drawing from memories or experiences and creating larger narratives and stories through these memories. There are hints of his heritage, influenced by his bi-racial background being Persian and Black. He has participated in group exhibitions such as The Archive of Merit: From OSA to OCAD and a solo exhibition at The Drake Hotel. He also did a project for the City of Toronto, painting five portraits for Black History Month and public art for STEPS Public Art. He has also given artist talks, recently visiting his old high school to speak and speaking at the Young Voices 2022 Magazine launch.
